1) The Obama Administration Suddenly Fixated on Stomping out Medical Pot.
The DEA acknowledged that it was investigating a Montana state lawmaker for potentially conspiring to violate federal anti-marijuana laws. The lawmaker, Rep. Diane Sands – a Democrat from Missoula, Montana – served as the chairwoman of a 2011 interim legislative committee that sought to enact statewide regulations governing the production and distribution of medical pot, which has been legal in the state since 2004. “Can you say McCarthy?” she told The Missoulian newspaper. “This sounds like stuff from the House Un-American Activities Committee and Joe McCarthy. So once you talk about medical marijuana in reasonable terms, you’re on some sort of list of possible conspirators. … It’s ridiculous, of course, but it’s also threatening to think that the federal government is willing to use its influence and try to chill discussion about this subject.”
Worse, it looks as if Obama is setting up big pharma to take control of marijuana, resulting in pot not only staying illegal, but staying illegal with its “heroin classification” intact just so an obamacorporation can profit from Americans use of this truly recreational drug.
2) President Obama Doesn’t Support SOPA, But Signs ACTA
ACTA, SOPA, PIPA and CISPA are all Internet destroying bills or treaties that will violate privacy rights of Americans, destroy the openness of the Internet, destroy the free exchange of the internet, reduce the virtual real time discussion of information on the Internet and destroy the interactivity, the give and take of the Internet (as opposed to, “sit and listen to a corporate employee tell you what to think…one way monologue”).
Most importantly, what will be protected by destroying the Internet is a lack of government transparency. And a lack of government transparency is what Obama is all about: remember Obama’s hunt for whistleblowers? A destruction of government transparency by Obama and his associate legislatewhores is veiled thinly by their slight of hand argument for protection against online theft. Theft, greed and alakazam, corporations design the Internet, the same corporations that created peer to peer software, the same corporations that made billions from peer to peer software, the same corporations that wiped their asses on the Internet creating peer to peer software facilitating all the illegal downloading.
Obama would have the Internet be a lackey to corporate greed and the Internet be thereby castrated in its ability to effect government transparency. Obama, like most of our elected officials operates within a culture of incompetence: remember Wikileaks? No one died because of Wikileaks but a great number of public officials were embarrassed due to the Wikispotlight on their incompetence. Wikileaks is the essence of the Internet. Wikileaks is the greatest creation of the Internet and this our pitifully incompetent public servants fear rather than embrace as it could herald a rebirth of citizen participation and a rebirth of America’s health and vigor. Obama and our legislatewhores are cowards.
Yes, Obama and legislatewhores like him are definitely shallow, cowardly, small minded, greedy, corporate sycophants but mostly our politicians simply suck at what they do. If ACTA, SOPA, PIPA and CISPA are enacted, you the people, my fellow Americans are back to watching corporate state TV and maybe one of the laughing hyenas you put in office will throw you a biscuit.
The Freenet is the only way to bring more people back into participating in their country. That these useless talking heads, like Obama, would destroy the constitutional powers at the core of the Internet is clearly an indication of what these abject traitors, like Obama think of Americans, the essence of The US Constitution and all those Americans that sacrificed greatly, down through the years. It is not what politicians say; it is what politicians do and a politician supporting anything like ACTA, SOPA, PIPA or CISPA believes that Americans are little more than cattle.

Can you believe this? After the largest online protest in history, the Obama administration is still voicing support for SOPA. Just the other day, the administration sent a letter to Congress to demonstrate their support for new internet censorship legislation. Victoria Espinel, Obama’s so-called “copyright czar” just said: “We still need legislation for blocking foreign websites.” You can read the full statement here.
Obama is one of the 1% elitist who see no point in involving the people in running America. Everything he might have done is eclipsed by his support of these Internet censorship bills and treaties. Obama could not be a bigger fail as President. It is as if George Bush has been given a third term.

An onrush of condemnation and criticism kept the SOPA and PIPA acts from passing earlier this year, but US lawmakers have already authored another authoritarian bill that could give them free reign to creep the Web in the name of cybersecurity. A piece of legislation dubbed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (or CISPA for short), has been created under the guise of being a necessary implement in America’s war against cyberattacks. Kendall Burman of the Center for Democracy and Technology tells RT that Congress is currently considering a number of cybersecurity bills that could eventually be voted into law, but for the group that largely advocates an open Internet, she warns that provisions within CISPA are reason to worry over what the realities could be if it ends up on the desk of President Barack Obama.

Obama is behind stifling the Freenet and Obama’s efforts in restricting the Internet will make your political battles and struggles for human rights much harder to win. Obama is in office in part to the free discourse offered by an uncensored Freenet, but Obama can have only one more term. Obama, as concerns his own Presidential aspirations can lose the Freenet like a bartering chip in a political deal; Obama does not need a protected Freenet to be elected after 2012. But can we survive without the Freenet and does Mr Obama care? Obama signed ACTA; Obama helped draw it up in secret; I would say Obama cares very little about people being able to effectively participate in their country’s affairs.
Unlike G. Bush, Obama is no dimwit and that unfortunately in some regards could make him more dangerous to the destruction of “For The People, By The People And To The People”.

We Have Every Right to Be Furious About ACTA and by the way no one was killed by Wikileaks Either
Remember Bradley Manning, his illegal treatment, the public comments made by Obama about Manning “being guilty”, a violation by our commander in chief called undue command influence and illegal? Remember Julian Assange is under house arrest concerning charges in Sweden that were initially dropped by one Swedish prosecutor and then reopened by a second right wing Swedish prosecutor loyal to the USA? Remember Wikileaks and its effect on government transparency? Remember that the Obama administration has prosecuted more government leakers and whistleblowers than the past two administrations? Remember Obama signed the NDAA giving himself power to detain and place in Guantanamo anyone he feels threatened by?
Remember Obama’s tendency to parrot the term “Rule of Law” and claim to be a constitutional lawyer as does anyone else think so?
SOPA and PIPA recently fell by the wayside and partly because Obama threatened veto of SOPA. We also protested. Many legislators made a 180 degree turn from their support of these two bills. Very, very many of them backed off including co sponsors of the bills. Seems strange and seems to good to be true that the Internet gained a victory that day. Now that Obama has signed ACTA all that is needed is for the Senate to ratify it.
Wake up.
ACTA has been in the making for years, secretly and Obama would not release info on it even though a FOIA was used. Obama said, “it was a threat to national security”. Well now the ACTA final draft is out and obviously there was no threat to anyone but “We the People” by one more insane lying son of a bitch paranoid president who will destroy free speech in favor of censorship, greed and hindering government transparency into the corrupt and incompetent behavior of those useless bastards, like Obama that we put in office.
Some have called for Obama’s impeachment. I’d think his execution for treason would be more appropriate and again, by the way Wikileaks killed no one.

President Obama Doesn’t Support SOPA, But Signs ACTA
President Obama signed the ACTA “treaty,” which is, at its most elementary, a multinational agreement that addresses intellectual property enforcement.The law is clear that the only things that can be covered by executive agreements are things that involve items that are solely under the President’s mandate. That is, you can’t sign an executive agreement that impacts the things Congress has control over. But here’s the thing: intellectual property, in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, is an issue given to Congress, not the President.
The Administration has opposed SOPA and PIPA due to the damage these laws could do to the Internet. But many view the Anti-Counterfeiting Trace Agreement (ACTA) to be far worse.
This Administration supported the negotiation of ACTA in secret with a selected group of nations and with input from many corporate interests. The public and consumers were excluded from this process. FOIA requests were denied because of “National Security” concerns.
We object to the Administration’s negotiation of ACTA in secret, and approval of ACTA by Executive Agreement.
…The fact that President Obama signed such an inflammatory piece of legislation is disheartening. Does this mean the only reason the White House spoke out against the infamous acts was because the backlash was so loud? Does this also mean that because the American public, or, at least, those who “reside” on the Internet, is still largely silent concerning ACTA and the potential damage it can do, President Obama didn’t see the harm in signing it?
Of course, if ACTA does have to go to the Senate before its ratified, will it meet any resistance? Any at all?

Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement Poland Withdraws from ACTA Ratification
Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Friday that although Poland signed the international copyright treaty ACTA last month it will not move to ratify it, and admitted he was earlier wrong to support the controversial agreement.
Tusk also said on Friday he appealed to the members of the European Parliament’s European People’s Party (EPP) fraction, to which his party Civic Platform (PO) belongs, to drop their support for ACTA in its present form in favor of a fresh approach to intellectual property rights.Apart from Poland, three other EU countries so far have backed away from ACTA ratification - Slovenia, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.

What is the Internet? Well, what kind of a society do we live in? We in America are consumers. We are not people, corporations are people. The Internet is a commodity to be profited from…….. It has been profited from illegally before.
The SOPA and PIPA bills are not about the theft of online content. SOPA and PIPA represent a continuing theft perpetrated in concert by your legislators and media interests. How has music and other intellectual property been stolen in the past? It was stolen by millions of consumers who were enabled to steal by free software. Peer to peer software was free and was produced by Disney, CBS and many other corporations while your legislators either stood idly by or accepted bribes to aide and abet this theft. These companies and their associates made billions of dollars by enabling billions of downloads with their free peer to peer software. The enormous amount of theft could have not been accomplished without the free peer to peer software pandered by these corporations. Now, as the well dries up from peer to peer theft, those groups who stole in he past, Disney and CBS and others now are pushing your legislatwhores for more theft and destruction. SOPA and PIPA will reduce the Internet to a mere automaton supporting their greed.
How does this theft work? Simple? Take pride in your Freenet. The Freenet is like a gift from the gods, and I suspect that these gods look down from above laughing in amusement at us as we know not what a gift the Internet truly is and that we must certainly stumble and lose it. The Freenet is creativity, human conversation between the inhabitants of planet earth, it is innovation, it is a birth, it is a magic gift that allows millions of people, hundreds of millions of Americans to discuss, learn and laugh together and get to know each other. The Freenet is our one shot at getting the people back in the game of participating in their country, of taking their country back from corporations. The Internet glows with the heat, light and luminance of a supernova and all the other media outlets will disappear in its blinding light. The Freenet in and of itself, due to its own strength is a threat to other media.
Remember Wikileaks. The Internet is also the epicenter of government transparency. Our legislators are not solely motivated by greed in their endeavor to kill the Internet; legislators wish also to preserve their grotesque culture of incompetence, graft, greed and corruption and the Internet is a threat to the continuation of that culture of incompetence in government.
SOPA and PIPA are clearly a theft of the people’s resources and those corporations that stole are trying to steal again. This time they are trying to steal by destroying the Internet as they can not steal from the Internet anymore. Our legislators are the ultimate garbage. Americans had a revolution and won the revolution over 200 years ago. The revolution was against oppressive government. I am certain what our legislators are doing with SOPA and PIPA constitutes a government which no longer acts in the best interest of its people. We won in 1776, largely in part to the efforts of a great people, a constitution that was truly an act of inspiration and Great Britain was far away by sail. There was a time delay that allowed the revolutionaries….to prepare as Britain was not at hand.
We do not have that time. Our time is now. Save the Internet from censorship or it will be all things bad. We will revert to Fuxs news and commercials. If there is one thing that the Internet has shown me it is the importance of learning, communication and real time information. Do we have to learn that we will be crippled without the Freenet?
SOPA, PIPA and the Traitorous United States Legislators.
Most of the Senators and Congressmen supporting SOPA and PIPA do not care about free speech and the empowerment an open Internet gives the people. Most of our legislators do not care about representing the people, which upfront and foremost should be creating and facilitating the education of people so they can better participate in the affairs of their country. Any Senator or Representative who is indifferent to this, the most pressing need we in America have, to better our situation and our country, is a legislator who is undoubtedly a traitor. Any legislator who is in any way in support of PIPA and SOPA should be removed from office forthwith by any means necessary. For most of our United States legislators it is a clear choice they have made between their need for greed and the health and wishes of the American people, between Freedom of Speech and Assembly and their allegiance to corporate interests, between their culture of incompetence and a greater depth of government transparency. There is no lack of understanding amongst legislators about how important the internet is to informing people, allowing more people to communicate and wresting control of the country from corporations back into the hands of the American people.
If one simply reads a few choice points in the SOPA bill it is obvious the legislators have much more than stopping online theft of music. They wish to totally destroy the internet to suit a few lobbyist. Please check out the video linked to the title of this blog. It is a short clip a explains clearly the parts of SOPA that are so unbelievably damning to those who wrote it and agreed to it. It is blatant and clear evidence that many of our legislators have an agenda which is light years away from free speech and letting the people participate in their own country. That these acts, PIPA and SOPA could even be drawn up not to mention advanced and find even a single supporter is damning proof that our legislators predominantly are a greater threat to this countries welfare, if her welfare depends on the people, than any threat imaginable.
These two pieces of legislation, SOPA and PIPA should have never got off the ground. Our legislators should have been and be now proud to protect the Internet as a bastion of Free Speech and a platform enabling the people to be more informed and better able to participate in their country. That these legislators have made no effort to protect the Internet for the uncensored use is prima facia evidence, irrefutable damnation of these legislators disdain for the people in this country and the Constitution of the United States of America. Legislators Patrick Leahy and Lamar Smith should undergo rendition and be tortured to death.
Several of the authors of both these bills have left… to work for the entertainment industry.
Selling out American First Amendment rights to the entertainment industry is truly a bipartisan affair. United States Legislators are some of the most craven hacks imaginable.
